Mr. Abdoulaye Seck is the World Bank Country Manager in Moldova. He is a national of Senegal and joined the World Bank in January 1995, as an Economics Assistant in the Dakar office in Senegal. Since then he has held various positions, with his most recent assignment being Advisor with the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to working for the Bank he worked as an economist for Ministry of Economy and Finances and OECD.
In this new position, Mr. Seck’s top three priorities will be to (i) lead the Bank's dialogue with the country authorities and other national stakeholder groups and play a strategic role in implementation of Bank's Country Partnership Strategy, (ii) oversee portfolio and deepen existing partnerships in support of an increasingly results-oriented IDA program and (iii) to provide leadership to the Country Team and manage the Country Office staff and budget.
